Perhaps you already have an idea of how integer_net operates as a business. If you're wondering what everyday life is like in our office, this blog post is just right for you.
As a hub for productivity and innovation, our office is more than just a workplace. Our team feels at home in the bright, open-plan rooms. For some of our colleagues, it is their everyday workplace, while for others it is a rather rare destination. Since we offer flexible workplace choices at integer_net, some of our colleagues occasionally work from home, while others work entirely remotely. We ensure that, despite the physical distance, the sense of community is maintained and everyone feels included, regardless of their location.

A good flow of information for good collaboration
To keep everyone informed and facilitate collaboration, we use a tabular overview (see below) for team members' office attendance. This is particularly important given that not everyone has a permanent workspace in the office. In fact, we have never had a situation where there were not enough desks. This is because our remote-first colleagues mainly come to the office when they have long meetings.

It's official: Dog-friendly workplace
Speaking of office attendance: Did you know that our office is pet-friendly? You can bring your furry friends with you. They even have their own sections in the attendance table and contribute to a cheerful working atmosphere. Of course, there are a few rules to ensure that everyone feels comfortable with this arrangement. We have now been certified as a dog-friendly company by the German Animal Welfare Association (Deutscher Tierschutzbund e.V.).

Concentration and Collaboration need space
The open-plan design of our office promotes teamwork and social interaction. Separate areas are available for quieter work phases and discussions.
Lunch is a valued break during which our team gathers around the large meeting table in the office. This time is used for relaxation, socialising and recharging. Conversations often mix work topics with personal interests. Everyone helps set the table while one of us cooks.
Knowledge sharing as part of our daily routine
Have you heard that at integer_net we encourage sharing personal interests and knowledge with the team? Every Monday during lunch break, team members can present a topic they are passionate about or that their colleagues might find interesting in a ‘Lunch & Learn’ session. This is an enjoyable way to expand knowledge and practise presentation skills.

Given that our working hours take up a large part of our day, it is very important to us to make the working experience as pleasant as possible for everyone. We try to achieve this by recognising the importance of teamwork, personal development, a friendly environment and many other factors, and by valuing them in our everyday work.
