Lightning-fast store for lightning-fast orders

Knüppel Verpackung GmbH & Co. KG, a German medium-sized, owner-managed company, is one of Europe's renowned providers of integrated packaging concepts for industry, trade and logistics and offers packaging solutions for (almost) every situation.
Knüppel Verpackung commissioned us with a relaunch to ensure that the associated B2B webshop reflects these first-class services. The goal:
A fast store that is easy to navigate
We paid particular attention to create an enjoyable user experience: A high level of user-friendliness is achieved with an intuitive menu navigation that neatly presents the wide range of packaging options and ordering options. Searching for products is easy and the subsequent order process can be quickly completed. The Hyvä frontend also scores points with its impressive speed. Product finders that make customers happy

We have also designed and implemented special details that meet the needs of B2B customers: The cardboard box finder and the pouch finder make it easy to quickly find the right product with the desired dimensions.
While the processes in the background are complex, the visualization of the results is clear and easy to understand. For example, if you are looking for a box measuring 300 mm x 300 mm x 300 mm, all available products that come closest to this search will be listed. For an optimal overview, the table starts with the most similar product. But that's not all! The presentation in a table enables a direct comparison of the article variants. After logging in, additional discounts can be offered by customer group.
Another feature appears when a customer searches for an item via the product categories. They will find special information on the product detail page: the most popular items, recommendations and environmentally friendly products are marked individually.

B2B purchases made easy

Knüppel Verpackung's webshop is perfectly tailored to the purchasing needs of B2B. Customers can save their selection as a PDF in the checkout for tender preparation. This is made possible by the Xtento PDF Customizer.
If the customer only wants to order later, they can use the watch list, which is clearly visible in the top menu. Right next to it is the quick order form for frequent orders.
Another special feature in the store: Customers can repeatedly see in detail what they are ordering and not just the item number. This also means that once they have selected the Add to Cart button, the products are again clearly summarized in a window. In addition, there is another practical service: the B2B store automatically checks orders for duplicates and asks whether the product should be added or overwritten.
The subsequent order is finalized quickly thanks to the one-page checkout. Special shipping details and a different recipient address can be easily added. To ensure that customers can then use their preferred payment method, we have made the external module of the payment service provider Mollie compatible and have integrated it into the store.

Effortless data management thanks to ERP integration

In the background, the store allows the internal Knüppel team to concentrate on the important things. Thanks to the extensive interconnection of the ERP system SAP with the Magento store, orders are automatically transmitted and information such as stock levels are updated. But that's not all: delivery bills and invoices are also created without further ado. In addition, details such as categories, prices or customer data only need to be maintained in one system. The transfer is handled by the interface between the store and ERP system. This is a clear advantage for the team, as it frees resources for customer service and acquisition.
By integrating Weltpixel Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, the team can easily assess the direction the future strategy should take. Moreover, conversions can be increased with ElasticSuite from Smile, as it enables features such as optimized search or the automatic calculation and highlighting of top sellers.
