The tenth edition of Meet Magento Netherlands is coming up! On Friday, June 1st, the Dutch Magento association Dutchento organises a conference known for its innovative topics, high-profile speakers and great networking opportunities.
Our team will be represented in Utrecht by Andreas von Studnitz, Fabian Schmengler and me (Sonja Riesterer).
Talk by Andreas: Dependency Injection Extended
In this one day event, three tracks offer plenty of input for business people and developers. Andreas will hold a talk in the tech track. His topic is “Dependency Injection Extended: the way to advanced Magento 2 development”. This talk is right for developers and freelancers who are looking to increase their knowledge about developing with Magento 2. It may be a bit overwhelming if you are just starting off with Magento 2, as it is more targeted to an intermediate level. After providing an overview of Magento 2 Dependency Injection, Andreas will continue with a more detailed approach and examples, based on real-life projects.
Magento Masters round tables
Fabian and me will also contribute to Meet Magento Netherlands: We both signed up for the Masters round tables that will take place from 11 to 11:30 a.m. In a more intimate setting than a speaker on a stage, attendees are invited to join whichever topic they prefer. Fabian offers a round table about strategies for code reviews, whether they are conducted internally in your team or externally. Brent Peterson, Magento Master and CEO of Wagento, invites you to join the discussion about a super secret topic that we don’t have any intel about yet. My table is for anyone who is new at Meet Magento Netherlands and would like to connect with others.
Dutchento Award show
Another gem in the agenda is the Dutchento Award show, presented by Rebecca Brocton and TJ Gamble. The two are known for their entertaining videos about the Magento ecosystem. In their channels Magento with Rebecca Brocton and Ecommerce-Aholic Rebecca and TJ give summaries of what’s going on in the Magento world, always ready to add a bit of humor in it to light things up. I’m sure they will conquer the stage with a witty moderation of the Dutchento Award Show. Besides that, I’m curious to see the winners of the award show because Dutch ecommerce tends to be a step ahead of the rest of Europe.
ExtDN present at MM18NL: Opportunity to have your voice be heard
Among the sponsor booths, there will also be chance to talk to members of ExtDN. They are currently looking for feedback how easy it is for merchants and agencies to find, compare and install quality extensions for Magento 2.
Contribution Day following MM18NL
After Meet Magento NL, a Contribution Day will take place where you can work on your pull requests to the Magento code, alongside Magento community engineer David Manners.
If you are at Meet Magento NL and see us in the crowd, come and say hi! Or send us an email to make sure we can arrange a time and place to meet.
